How Much Does a Kids Party Cost in the Bay Area?
Most Bay Area families spend somewhere between a few hundred dollars and a couple of thousand on party rentals. Here is what each level gets you, priced item by item from our current catalogue.
What drives the cost
- The centrepiece. A bounce house, a ball pit or a merry-go-round is most of the bill. Ours run from $300 to $2,000.
- Seating. Kids tables and chairs are inexpensive per piece, so the total depends on guest count. A table and eight chairs costs about $200.
- Activities. Hosted workshops include an attendant and supplies, from $400 for eight kids.
- Delivery. $80 within 20 miles of our Oakland warehouse, $4 a mile beyond that, and $8 a mile beyond 50 miles. Setup and pickup are included.
Fees to plan for
- Deposit. 50% when you book, and the rest a week before the party. Within a week of the party, payment is due in full.
- Damage waiver. Optional, at 7% of the rental total. It covers accidental nicks and scratches.
- Minimum order. $80.
- Late or next-day pickup. No charge. Same-day pickup is standard and next-day pickup is free.
How to spend less
- Choose one centrepiece and style the tables, instead of two big attractions.
- For under-threes, soft play and a small ball pit cost less than a bounce house and suit them better.
- Pick your rentals up from our Oakland warehouse yourself and skip the delivery fee. Bring moving blankets and a vehicle big enough for the pieces.
- Book a weekday or a Sunday afternoon if your date is flexible.
