Three kinds of bounce house, one for every yard

Every bounce house we rent falls into one of three families. Which one suits you depends on the age of the guests, how many will be jumping at once, and how much flat space you have.

  • Castle bounce houses are a single, open jumping room in white, black, nude, peach, mint, yellow, pastel pink, pastel purple or pastel blue. They suit preschool and early elementary parties and pair easily with any theme.
  • Kingdom Combo bounce houses add a climbing wall and slide to the jumping area, so kids rotate between two activities instead of crowding one. Choose white, white with a roof, or pink. They are the pick for bigger guest lists and kids up to about ten.
  • The White Mini Combo is lower and smaller, with a gentle slide. It is the bounce house we suggest for one- to three-year-olds and for yards where a full castle will not fit.

Want something louder? The Villa Combo Race Car is a combo with a race car look for vehicle-mad kids.

How much space you need

A bounce house needs a flat, level patch of lawn, artificial turf or smooth hard surface, plus clear space around it for kids getting in and out. Grass is best because we can stake into it; on concrete or pavers we weight the unit down instead.

Each unit runs on a blower that stays on for the whole party, so you will also need a standard power outlet nearby. If your outlet is far from the best spot, tell us when you book.

Not sure it will fit? Send a photo of the space to Hello@bayareakidsrentals.com and we will tell you which units work before you pay anything.

What happens on party day

We confirm your delivery a week before the party, then call or text when the crew is on the way. The team picks the spot with you, lays a ground tarp, anchors and inflates the unit, and checks it before anyone jumps.

After the party we deflate, fold and take everything away. Same-day pickup is standard, and you can choose next-day pickup when you book at no extra charge.

Keeping jumpers safe

  • An adult should watch the bounce house the whole time it is in use.
  • Shoes, glasses and anything sharp come off before kids climb in.
  • Keep toddlers and bigger kids apart. Give the little ones their own time, or set up soft play beside the bounce house.
  • Limit how many children jump at once, and stop play if it gets windy or the surface gets wet.

Park parties and permits

Many Bay Area parks allow bounce houses only at reservable picnic sites, and some charge an extra fee or ask for the rental company’s details. Check with the city’s parks department before you book, and tell us the park and picnic area so we can plan the delivery.

If a park does not allow inflatables, soft play and ball pits need no power and are a good alternative.

Good to know

Questions parents ask

How much does it cost to rent a bounce house in the Bay Area?

Our bounce houses run from $300 for the White Mini Combo to $400 for a castle and $650 for a Kingdom Combo with a slide. Delivery, setup and pickup start at $80 within 20 miles of our Oakland warehouse. See the bounce house cost guide for what is included.

Which bounce house is best for toddlers?

The White Mini Combo. It has lower walls, a gentle slide and a smaller footprint. For crawlers and new walkers, soft play and a small ball pit are a better fit than any inflatable; see first birthday rentals.

Do you deliver bounce houses to San Francisco and San Jose?

Yes. We deliver across San Francisco, the East Bay, the Peninsula, Marin and the South Bay. Delivery is $80 within 20 miles of Oakland, then $4 a mile, and $8 a mile beyond 50 miles. Your exact fee is quoted to your address at checkout.

Does a bounce house need electricity?

Yes. The blower runs for the whole party, so the unit needs a standard outlet nearby. Soft play and ball pits need no power at all.

What happens if it rains?

If the weather turns, tell us before the crew leaves the warehouse and there is no cancellation fee. Your payment is saved as a credit for a new date. Once the bounce house is set up, the rental is charged in full.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can. Availability is first-come, first-served, and a booking is held once the 50% deposit is paid and the rental agreement is signed.
