Will It Fit? Party Rental Space Guide
Measure your yard or room, then match it to the tables below. Every size comes from our own product records, the same numbers our crew works to.

At a glance
Measure the flat part of your space and compare it with the space to clear, not the size of the unit: our crew needs room around every piece.
- A castle bounce house needs about 13 × 13 ft cleared; a Kingdom Combo with a slide about 17 × 15 ft and 14 ft of height.
- Soft play packages need 15 × 12 ft (Deluxe) or 15 × 15 ft (Grand) of floor, and no power.
- Ball pits range from about 8 ft across (small) to 18 ft (Ultimate); they need no power either.
- Bounce houses need one standard outlet and go on level grass, turf, concrete or sand, never dirt.

How to measure your space
- Measure the flat part only. Slopes, tree roots and garden beds do not count. Our crew sets up on level grass, artificial turf, concrete or sand, and will not set up on dirt or anywhere with sharp objects.
- Check the way in. Our crew carries everything from the truck to your spot. Tell us about narrow gates, steps or stairs when you book, so we come prepared.
- Find the outlet. A bounce house blower needs one standard outlet for the whole party. Note how far it is from your spot so we can bring the right cord.
- Look up. Leave clear sky above a bounce house: no low branches, wires or eaves.
Tip Email a photo of the space and a rough measurement to Hello@bayareakidsrentals.com and we will tell you which pieces fit before you pay anything.
Bounce houses: how much yard you need
"Space to clear" is the flat area our crew needs, including room around the unit for anchoring and for kids getting in and out. Measure your spot against that number, not the size of the bounce house itself.
| Bounce house | Space to clear | Unit size | Ages |
|---|---|---|---|
| Castle — Black, Mint, Nude, Pastel Blue, Pastel Pink, Pastel Purple, Peach, White, Yellow | 13' (W) X 13' (L) | 10' (W) X 10' (L) | 1+ |
| Kingdom Combo Bounce House — Pink, White, White (with roof) | 17ft W x 15ft L x 14ft H | 15' (W) X 13' (L) X 13' (H) | 2 to adult |
| Villa Combo Race Car | 17ft W x 17ft L x 14ft | 15' (W) X 15' (L) X 13' (H) | 2 to adult |
| White Mini Combo Bounce House | 13ft W x 13ft L x 9ft H | 8' (W) X 10' (L) X 8' (H) | 1–10 |
Every bounce house runs on a blower that stays on for the whole party, from one standard outlet. Our bounce houses are designed for outdoor use; if you are thinking about a hall or gym, ask us first.

Planning a park party instead?
Most Bay Area cities limit bounce houses in parks, and some ban them outright. Before you plan one, check your city in the venue guides or the park permit guide. Where inflatables are not allowed, soft play and ball pits usually are.

Frequently asked questions
How much space do I need for a bounce house?
Our castle bounce houses need about 13 by 13 feet of flat ground cleared, the White Mini Combo about 13 by 13 feet, and the Kingdom combos about 17 by 15 feet. The tables on this page list every unit.
How tall is a combo bounce house?
The Kingdom Combo and Villa Combo stand about 13 feet tall and need about 14 feet of clear height; the White Mini Combo about 8 feet.
Can I put a bounce house on concrete?
Yes. On concrete or pavers we weight the bounce house down with sandbags instead of staking it. We do not set up on dirt.
Do soft play and ball pits need electricity?
No. Soft play sets and ball pits need no power, which is why they work so well indoors and in parks.
How much floor space does soft play need?
A Deluxe soft play package needs about 15 by 12 feet and a Grand package about 15 by 15 feet.
Can you set up indoors?
Soft play, ball pits, slides, tables and workshops all set up indoors. Our bounce houses are designed for outdoor use, so ask us before planning one inside.
How many kids does a table seat?
Most of our 6 to 7 foot kids tables seat 10 kids; round Poppy tables seat 5 and the Ariel table 12. The table section lists each one.
